Groups are the small rooms of Birdfeet. You join the ones you care about, post inside them, and leave quietly when they are no longer for you.

How do I join a group?
Open the group and choose Join group. Members can post inside it and appear in the member list.
Why can I not post in a group?
You have to join first. Once you are a member the composer appears at the top of the group feed.
How do I start a group?
Sign in, open Groups and choose Start a group. Give it a name and a short description of what it is for.
Can I delete a group I own?
Yes. Owners see a Delete group control on the group page. That removes its memberships and its posts.
What happens to group posts when I leave?
Your posts stay in the group. Leaving only removes your membership, and you can rejoin later.
