Careers at Birdfeet

Small team, fast releases, no offices.

Birdfeet is remote-first. We look for people who care about small communities, communicate clearly and enjoy taking a useful idea from first sketch to release.

How we work

Short cycles, a public roadmap and direct contact with the people using Birdfeet. If you build it, you talk to the people living in it. No layer of account managers between the work and the community.

Find your role

Our jobs board is the place to check current openings, responsibilities and application instructions. Use the details on each listing rather than an old role count.

Where you work

Anywhere. Async by default, with optional overlap hours so nobody has to sit through a 3am call. Written updates are the default because half the team is asleep when you are working.

How to apply

  1. 01

    Pick a listing

Open the jobs board and read the role you are interested in, including its own application steps.

  2. 02

    Share context

A short introduction, your time zone and a few links to work or communities you are proud of.

  3. 03

    Show something finished

A community you moderate, a tool you made or an event you organised says more than a perfect CV.

  4. 04

    Talk to a person

A conversation and a small paid trial task help both sides understand the work before an offer.

What you could work on

  • Product and engineering: feeds, groups, profiles, notifications and the boring reliability work behind them.
  • Design and content: clearer pages, kinder language and the small decisions that make an app feel human.
  • Community and support: listening to members, turning their questions into fixes, and keeping the guidelines real.

What we value

Clear writing, thoughtful decisions and care for the people using the product. We would rather read two paragraphs about a thing you finished than a page of adjectives.

Good to know

Where are the current openings?

The jobs board link on this page is the single source of truth for open roles and requirements.

Do I need a traditional CV?

No. Follow the application instructions on the listing. Examples of real work matter more.

Do you offer internships?

Yes, paid internships and trial tasks appear on the board when they are open.

Will a human read my application?

Always. You hear back from a person, not an automated form.

Can I ask about a role without applying?

Yes. Use the contact page, ask what you need and decide afterwards.

Not seeing your role?

Send a note anyway. We keep a short list of people we would like to work with when the next opening appears.
