    November 2026

First release: feed, groups, replies, profiles, live rooms and the Birdy assistant.

What it looks like

The Birdfeet desktop app showing the feed and a comment where Birdy the green mascot chats with a coral bird
The desktop window: feed on the left, your birds on the right, Birdy in the replies.
A phone showing the Birdfeet feed and a comment thread with Birdy the green mascot and a coral bird sending hearts and a thumbs up
On a phone: same account, same thread, Birdy still saying kind things.

Birdy is the green bird from the app icon. It turns up in the corner of every page to help you shape a post, with a heart, a thumbs up and a laugh.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Birdfeet runs in your browser, on a phone or a laptop, with the same account. The launcher file simply gives it a window of its own, so it sits in your dock or taskbar instead of hiding in a tab.
