Community guidelines
Be a good bird.
Birdfeet is small on purpose. These rules keep it somewhere people are glad to be. They apply to posts, replies, group descriptions, handles and bios.
The short list

Be kind, be specific
Disagree with the idea, not the person. Say what you actually mean instead of scoring points.

No harassment
No targeted abuse, pile-ons, threats, doxxing or following someone around to make them uncomfortable.

No hate
Content that dehumanises people for who they are is not welcome here, in posts or in group names.

Keep it legal
No scams, malware, stolen credentials, pirated material or anything designed to deceive people.

No spam
Repeated promotions, fake giveaways and link farms get removed. Groups exist for genuine interests.

Respect privacy
Do not post someone else’s private information, photos or conversations without their permission.
How moderation works
Birdfeet is small, so moderation is human. We look at reports, read the context and make a judgement. Depending on what happened, we may remove a post, ask you to edit a group description, or remove an account.
We would rather talk first. If something you posted was removed and you are not sure why, ask and we will explain.
Content you own
You keep the rights to what you write. By posting, you give Birdfeet permission to show your post inside the app. Deleting a post removes it from the feed.
Report something
If a post, reply or group breaks these rules, tell us which page it is on and what the problem is. Do not repost the content in your report.
