Do I need an account to read?
No. The feed, groups, people and profiles are readable by anyone. Sign in only to post, reply, like, follow or join a group.
What should I do first?
Open the feed and read a few posts. When something makes you want to answer, create an account and pick a handle. There is no tour to sit through.
Where do I find my own profile?
Your avatar in the header links to your profile. Everything you post appears there too, newest first.
Is Birdfeet free?
Yes. Creating an account and using the app costs nothing. There are no adverts and no paid tier that unlocks posting.
What are groups for?
Groups are small rooms for one specific interest, from a street to a hobby. Browse the groups page, join one you like, or start your own.
